ISLAND DOG CLUB

The Island Dog Club Inc., otherwise known and referred to as the IDC, is an All-Breed Dog Club with areas of operation including the Counties of Prince, Queens and Kings, of Prince Edward Island, Canada. The IDC is a group of owners, breeders and lovers of purebred dogs who work together for the betterment and furtherance of all recognized breeds in accordance with the standards set by the Canadian Kennel Club.

The goals of the IDC include the dissemination of knowledge concerning purebred dogs. The IDC supports and encourages participation in shows, trials and other events by their members. All members will participate in such activities, with honesty, fairness and integrity, ever mindful of the practice of "good sportsmanship" and friendly competition.

All members of the Island Dog Club will undertake the task of educating and encouraging all newcomers as well as the General Public to the world of purebred dogs no matter their interest: pet owner, exhibitor, trailer or breeder.

All members of the IDC agree to breed only purebred registered dogs I.e. Registered with the Canadian Kennel Club or any other recognized Club (American Kennel Club, United Kennel Club, Canine Federation of Canada, etc). Failure to adhere to this statement could cause the loss of membership to the Island Dog Club.
